Charisse

When it comes to connecting people through the power of music, no one does it like Charisse. From creating mixtapes for her high school peers, to DJing parties for the people in Palm Beach County… she’s been heavily rooted in the culture of music.

She adds, “I grew up with a long line of creatives. I have family and friends who are rappers, DJs, producers, dancers, graffiti artists… all of whom inspired me to work in radio.” That led to an Associate’s Degree in Radio/Video Broadcasting and Production from Mount Washington College. Charisse also credits famous NYC radio personality Angie Martinez as a major role model in her career.

Charisse built a reputation by being fearless, driven, and consistent throughout her 12-year radio career in West Palm Beach and Miami. Her versatility comes from the experience she gained by working in all aspects in the industry, from promotions to sales to producing live shows to being on-air to mixing music! So, she’s not new to this… she’s true to this!

Charisse says, “I’m thrilled to be part of the Flame family. I feel right at home here and I’m so excited to connect with our community!”

In her spare time, Charisse enjoys spending time with family and friends… especially her cool cat, Bengi. She also takes pleasure in fun activities like kayaking, basketball, concerts, amusement parks, and the likes. She’s a major foodie too, always down to try something new.

Welcome to The Flame, Charisse!

Reggie

Reggie Dee is known as a catalyst for brightening lives and making a difference through his famous Walk to End Racism and Walk for Unity, holiday food drives, mentoring youth, and so much more that resulted in a Crystal Award for community service from the National Association of Broadcasters (it’s like a Grammy award for radio). It has also earned him the key to the cities of West Palm Beach and Riviera Beach, and a proclamation from the city of West Palm Beach for “Walk for Unity Week,” along with a nomination for an African American Achievement Award.

Reggie promised his mom that he would continue serving others and doing good for the commUNITY, as she had taught him by example.

That perspective has made a difference through the years. His community accolades and career highlights also include the Unsung Hero Award from the 15th Circuit Juvenile Justice Board, a Tikkun Olam Service Award from the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, an NAACP Trailblazer Award, Outstanding Radio Media Award from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, an MLK Jr. Spirit Award from the city of Boynton Beach, and continual support from the “South Florida Times” and other media outlets.

Now, he’s taking it to a whole new level, as program director and on-air personality on The Flame! Whether it’s hooking you up with the hottest new jams and groundbreaking new music you won’t hear anywhere else, awesome prizes, or giving you a voice, you can always count on Reggie!

He adds, “I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time. I love the people of Palm Beach County and I’m excited to bring the commUNITY together in yet another big way, through the airwaves and in the streets!” Watch out, ‘cause when Reggie’s around, you know it’s about to get hot!

Reggie enjoys checking out and vacationing in different destinations, and visiting family in Dallas, Texas throughout the year. In fact, that’s where this whole radio and commUNITY career started for him! Now, he’s ours…and yours! Keep it locked on The Flame 104.7…the new home of Reggie Dee!
